Welcome!

My name is Andy Muse and I am very excited about our 2023-24 school year. I have been an educator at Mt. Tabor High School for the past 31 years. I am a proud graduate from Appalachian State University. My role this year with the Spartans is to be your Career Development Coordinator. I look forward to helping our students explore their future Careers. The Career Development Coordinators (CDC) role is to support Career and Technical Education (CTE) and to coordinate career development services for students participating in CTE. I am also going into my 30th year as the Head Coach of our Boys Basketball Team. We are very proud of the tradition that we have established with our Basketball Program and look forward to another great year. Our program won a NC 4A State Championship in 2009 and (2) NC 4A Final-4's in 2011 and 2013. Last season we finished in the Sweet Sixteen in the State of NC. Last year our team won the Central Piedmont 4A Regular Season Championship (14-0) and the Frank Spencer Championship. I am married to Gina Muse (my high school sweetheart) and have three sons'. Adam is 30 years old and is a teacher and Head Basketball Coach at Reagan HS. Andrew (23 years old) is a Graduate Assistant Coach at Wichita State University and Aaron (23 years old) is doing his student teaching at Appalachian State Middle-Fork teachers lab in Winston-Salem - Aaron is also an assistant basketball coach at Reagan HS with Adam.
